Traffic Advisory going to Ateneo on January 26

Traffic Advisory. Please be informed that we will be conducting a dry-run of our proposed two-way traffic scheme for gate 2 from January 24 to January 28, 2011.

During the dry-run we will allow vehicles to exit Gate 2 from 6 AM to 7:30 AM. This one week dry run will be done in coordination with the Road and Safety Unit of MMDA.

Flash Camp Manila is a community-organized event that aims to give a better understanding  of the Adobe Flash Platform by providing an in-depth look at upcoming Flash Platform tools, technologies and insights via learning camps.

Camp objectives

Promote Flash to the Community by providing learning camps. This will also be  the First Flash Camp here in Manila. We intend to invite targeted audience to participate. that means the attendees know Flash basics and will be in the position to understand the speakers topic

Attendance to the event is free. Since the this event is organized by Adobe User groups, a certain number is alloted to Adobe User group members (AUGphil, PHlashers, Graphikarista). You can be a member of Adobe Usergroups at:

Tom Krcha

Presentation: Behind the scenes of MAX Racer and building realtime multiplayer experiences
Country: Czech Republic
Company : Adobe Systems

Tom is a part of Adobe Gaming Evangelism team, and has been working with Flash for over a decade.
His focus is on gaming, multiplayer, realtime, peer-to-peer, streaming and collaboration. Over the years,
Tom has participated in many Flash media streaming projects including CDNs, videochats, realtime
multi-user applications, IPTV and award-winning websites.

Peter Andreas Moelgaard

Presentation: Designer & Developer Creative Workflow
Country: Denmark

Peter has been engaged in RIA development since its incepcion and from before AJAX got its name.
Peter is currently working with Adobe Enterprise and became an Adobe Community Professional in the
middle of 2008 and has stayed as such, while also being appointed to the Adobe Advisory Board for a
number of their productivity tools.

Peter received two Adobe MAX awards in 2008 for his work on “MyHome – Your Intelligent Home”
Home Automation and the “NASDAQ Market Replay” and an honorable mention in 2009 for his
work on “The Changing Diabetes Barometer” for Novo Nordisk A/S (Denmark) and the AIR SHOP for
ThomasCook (a 3D seat booking system). Peter is currently authoring “Flash Catalyst 2 Unleashed”
(Addison-Wesley) scheduled for release mid 2011

John Imbong

Presentation: Introduction to the Flash Platform
Company: Adobe User Groups

A graduate of AB Communications from Ateneo de Manila University in 2004, he is a distinguished
Consultant for the Asian Development Bank for IT Development projects revolving government
agencies implementing Business Processing Systems. John is a long-time promoter of web and game
development projects implemented using the Flash Platform for mobile and standalone systems. He
holds seminars in behalf of Phlashers promoting the use and learning of Adobe Flash Productivity
Software and handles classes in the Fine Arts Department as a Part-time Lecturer. John is the current
Manager for the Adobe User Group, Phlashers: : Philippine Flash Actionscripters.

Carlos Nazareno

Carlos is an interactive media specialist focused on the Flash Platform, web, mobile and game
development. Among his interests are a-life, computational aesthetics, electronic music production and
turning ones and zeroes into generative art.

An advocate of information and communication technologies for development (ICT4D), he works on
bridging the digital divide.

Melch Valmiento

Presentation: Evolution of Flash Gaming

A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas in Fine Arts ’00, Melch is a seasoned Game Developer using
the Flash Platform. An award winning mobile game developer, Melch’s portfolio includes the design and
development of games and Facebook applications implemented under different brands and advertising
agencies. Melch is also the first person in the Philippines to launch commercial Flash mobile games
internationally. Currently, he works alongside his wife on projects revolving around comics, animation
and games. Melch is also the co-manager for the Adobe User Group, Phlashers.
